Cauliflower Pakoras Recipe

This dish can be served as a starter or a side dish.

Ingredients

1 medium head cauliflower
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 cup gram flour
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
½ teaspoon red chili powder
2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
Vegetable oil as required
Salt to taste

Recipe Instructions

Make the batter.
Mix together the gram flour, chili powder, cumin seeds, garam masala, coriander leaves and salt. Add a little water and beat the ingredients together to make a thin smooth batter.

Prepare the cauliflower.
Break the cauliflower into small florets and wash thoroughly.

Cook.
Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Dip the cauliflower florets into the batter and deep fry them until they are golden brown. Fry on a medium heat.
